Thursday in Sanskrit: Guruvara

Did you know that Thursday is called Guruvara in Sanskrit? "Guru" means teacher, learning, and the light-bringing principle, while "Vara" means day. This makes Thursday the day of the Guru – a perfect time for growth, learning, and gaining new insights. In Vedic astrology, each day is associated with a planet, and Thursday belongs to Jupiter, also known as the Guru – the planet of wisdom, happiness, and abundance. Pretty cool, right? 😉

Thursday is also a great day to express gratitude – not only to your teachers and mentors but also for the hard lessons life has thrown your way. Perhaps through pain, loss, or challenges. These moments shape us into who we are today and teach us valuable lessons: letting go of control, setting boundaries, and embracing life with a bit more lightness and positivity.

Sanskrit, the language of yogis and truth seekers, is so much more than just words. Every syllable carries a deeper meaning and vibration, and even the alphabet itself is a mantra!
