Monkey mind, head cinema, thought carousel, anxiety 🤯 — no matter what we call it, the endless loops our thoughts spin in are rarely kind. What can help us? Changing our mindset and focusing on the here and now. For us yogis, the central tool for this is conscious breathing.

👉🏼 The 4-7-8 breathing technique provides instant relief for stress, inner restlessness, and can even help with falling asleep.

1. Inhale through your nose for four seconds
2. Hold your breath for seven seconds
3. Exhale through your mouth for eight seconds

Repeat this exercise for 5 minutes and notice how relaxation sets in, and the monkey mind starts to calm down.

🦋 To accompany this breathing exercise, I love the "little helpers" from Farfalla, like the Atempause (Breathing Break) Body Spray or Bewusst Sein (Be conscious) and No Panic Roll-Ons. ✨ (Spray 2-3 pumps of the organic Atempause Body Spray onto your face, neck, and chest, or apply the roll-ons to your wrists.) Even just reading the product names feels like a gentle reminder to come back to the present moment. The scents of essential oils act directly on our limbic system through inhalation, which is often referred to as the "emotional brain."

💝 GIVEAWAY ALERT – Perfect for the sometimes-stressful pre-Christmas season, I’m giving away the magical combo: 1 Atempause Body Spray, 1 Bewusst Sein Roll-On, and 1 No Panic Roll-On from my friends at Farfalla.
