In Sanskrit, Sunday is called Ravivāra – the day of the sun. Ravi means sun, the source of radiance, clarity, and inner truth, while Vāra means day. Sunday carries the energy of strength, authenticity, and alignment – a moment to reconnect with your own light. In Vedic astrology, the sun represents vitality, confidence, and the power of self-awareness. What a beautiful energy to begin a new week with, right? 😉

Sunday is also a wonderful day to consciously align your energy – especially now in November, when the days grow shorter and we often miss the sunlight. The sun is still there, even when we can’t see her – and practices like a few rounds of Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations) gently remind us of that. You might also enjoy a short clarity meditation or a warming breathing practice like Surya Bhedana to strengthen your inner fire. These simple rituals help you gather focus and energy for the week ahead and reconnect with your own inner radiance.

Ahhh Sanskrit – the language of yogis and truth-seekers – is so much more than just words. Every syllable carries meaning, depth, and vibration, and even the alphabet itself is a mantra!
